Are you looking for an adventure - a chance to see America and try out “van life”? Are you an artist, writer, student, retiree, aspiring pilgrim (etc) eager for some open space and a change of scene?
Liberty Walks, an American Pilgrimage, is seeking one or more DRIVERS to support our 2800 mile trek from Eugene, Oregon to Washington, DC. (Dates of travel: July 4th through November 30.)
A small group of walkers will be covering ~ 20 miles a day, lodging each night in a new town. An RV will be our support and scout vehicle.
Drivers will be in charge of providing respite and aid as needed, getting groceries and supplies, scouting the route ahead to assure roadways are open and pedestrian-friendly, and establishing connections with host communities.
Drivers must have a superlative driving record, familiarity with basic RV operation, and excellent communication skills. Your flexibility, compassionate and caring heart, sense of adventure and creativity are essential.
Liberty Walks will provide RV expenses (gas, maintenance), food and RV lodging, and a possible honorarium in appreciation of your contribution (typically volunteer appreciation gifts are $1000/month).
