Walking Logistics: What will you need
We are excited you want to join us.
All walkers will need to supply their own gear and cover their own food costs during the trip. As we move closer to departure, we will be publishing some recommendations for gear, etc.
Our goal is to be hosted by communities throughout the trip. That said, depending on where we are in the journey, Walkers should expect some degree of tent camping (with the assistance of our support vehicle), staying in motels, etc.
The team will have a support vehicle to carry equipment, scout out routes and buy provisions on the way.
We estimate the daily cost will be between $20-30. Depending on the types of food and the gear you purchase.
If you plan to walk more than a week we hope you will attend a walkers meeting where we will discuss the best gear and answer questions on route logistics.
Route Logistics: Where you’ll be walking
The route is subject to change, depending on weather and road conditions. We plan to walk about 20 miles a day. If you sign up to walk we will be in contact to keep you up to date on our progress and are planning to keep this website updated as much as possible. Stay tuned.
